Our Story
Welcome to Haus of Acrylics -- We’re Cate and Phil, the husband-and-wife team behind the name.
​
Our journey began five years ago with our previous company, Beck Engraving Design Studio, where we supported our father/father-in-law’s local engraving business. When the store closed in 2021, we took over the laser machine and turned a spark of curiosity into a full-blown passion—creating custom laser-engraved and precision-cut details, developing our skills, and discovering our place within the events industry.

What started as small, handcrafted pieces quickly evolved into a niche we fell in love with: elevated event design. Brands, event planners, and companies began reaching out, and soon we were producing high volumes of event details, including dinner and drink menus, stir sticks, signage, and more.

In 2023, excited to expand beyond laser engraving and cutting, we attended a UV printing exhibition in California and were instantly hooked by the possibilities UV printing offered for custom event décor. We purchased our first UV printer soon after, opening up a whole new world of fully custom, printed event details. With endless creative possibilities ahead, we rebranded as Haus of Acrylics in 2025 and added a second laser engraving machine—allowing us to take on larger, high-volume orders while maintaining the personal touch our clients love.

When we’re not creating custom event details, you’ll find us running around after our four kids, spending time together as a family, attending live music shows, hiking, exploring new places, road-tripping, and hunting down the best coffee and chai spots. We’re travel-loving foodies who enjoy staying healthy and active, involving our kids in the business whenever we can.

Meet Cate
Originally from the UK, Cate is creative, detail-obsessed, and manages the daily operations, design, production, event installations and shipping—if you’re messaging our team, you’ll be talking to Cate. You'll be sure to find her with a black coffee to keep productivity levels at their highest!
Meet Phil
Phil focuses on production, event installations and also balances another day job in operations management. As a veteran, he brings structure, efficiency, and problem-solving to everything we do. He also functions best with chai or a
Coke Zero!
Meet Willow
Our sassy 7 year old Willow is head of quality control when it comes to kids parties! You can guarantee your order will have to pass Willow's inspection and approval to be truly party worthy and full of kids sparkle! If it's missing something, you can be sure she'll let her mom and dad know about it!

From backdrop signage and drink details to cake toppers, party favors, menus, and more, each element is thoughtfully crafted and can be tailored to suit any theme. On-site setup is available based on event needs and availability.
